Follow the stories of heroic horses as we uncover the plight of the throw away horse, the courageous people working tirelessly to save them, the critical need for industry and owner education, and the undying spirit of the world’s most loyal and majestic animal. A mostly unknown epidemic, this documentary sheds light on the thousands of horses that get caught every year in a trap of human neglect, despair, unforeseen circumstances, and greed.  If people are unwilling or unable to care for a horse, whether from the horse racing industry, large and small breeders, or the individual horse owner- the horse ultimately pays the price- often with their lives.

Frozen Frame: Murphy’s Yellowstone

“Frozen Frame: Murphy’s Yellowstone” is a short film that explores renowned photographer Tom Murphy’s decades long connection to Yellowstone National Park in its most wild and often inhospitable season, winter. He has skied extensively in Yellowstone’s backcountry including three trips across the park, the first one solo in 1985. Tom’s stunning images of frosted bison at 35 below, howling wolves, grand and intimate landscapes, and beyond are recognized around the world. Murphy moved to Livingston, Montana in 1978 to be close to Yellowstone National Park.

After growing up on a cattle ranch in western South Dakota, he needed to continue to be outside in clean, wild country. He has made a living photographing wildlife and wild land around the world. Yellowstone remains his passion. Tom is dedicated to the conservation and preservation of Yellowstone and served many years on Yellowstone Forever’s Board and Council. The film is just under 30 minutes long and will be followed by a Q&A and is free and open to the public.

Documentary film directed by Edward Tyndall featuring the lives and views of four characters: naturalist Eustace Conway, scientist Preston Estep, historian Waite Rawls, and poet Caleb Whitaker. The film features a wide exploration of their views on history, memory, consciousness, and the changes wrought by technologies. The film screened at various American film festivals and was distributed by Mobius Films.

To highlight those people who are deeply entrenched, have their livelihood on the line but somehow are missed by the press and not often included openly in the larger Oregon wine community. It tells the story of what life is like, what hurdles, acceptances, challenges and opportunities exist. To share what it is like to be a person of color or LGBT in a generally white, high brow industry.

The story is crafted to convey the history and romance of the plant and art form, as well as the joy and positivity that can be found throughout India. It takes the audience on a journey that delights and informs, and perhaps also leaves some questions yet to be answered.
